I love how Portia weaves distinct characters into one single story and makes them loveable.

This romantic comedy is about Cara and Millsy who meet in a very usually unusual way. Cara has been stood up by her date and she is sitting alone when Millsy spots her and walks up to her. He invites her to another party to a place where Cara could only dream to go. They become good friends as the story progresses and promise to be each others plus one to go to the parties where they would either have to go alone and get bored.

I have read two of Portia’s books before this and am head over heels in love with her writing. Although I found this one a bit slow and stretched at times and the story is quite predictable. But the wit and narration style just makes you continue reading. I will recommend the book to everyone looking for some light comedy and breezy romance. Also, the cover is so pretty you will just keep adoring it.
